I purchased this 3 months after having a c-section and it supports my back and stomach area during daily activities. It has made getting out of bed and doing chores easier since it helps stabilize my core. It will show under fitted clothing but I think any postpartum belt will because of the Velcro closure. I recommend wearing it over high waisted brief underwear for comfort and placing a thin cloth over the "sticky" Velcro part so it doesn't catch on clothing.
