There is a small, softly padded headrest (that can be folded down if desired). The 10 oz. 100% US-milled cotton is brushed for softness and is not preshrunk, so do expect a small amount of shrinkage upon first washing

Catbird Baby was born when Beth Leistensnider designed a mei tai carrier out of necessity. She needed a really comfortable carrier that would allow her to strap her baby on her and still carry a diaper bag and small suitcase.

The name Catbird comes from the expression "sitting in the catbird seat," which means to be in an advantageous position (from the short story The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, by James Thurber). A perfect description for a baby who gets to see the world while snuggled in close to Mom or Dad.
